A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA REGARDING ZONING DETERMINATION
81-03 - SWATEZ - REQUESTING THAT A WELDING SHOP AND
AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR BE FORMED SIMILAR IN NATURE TO USES
IN THE M-R (RESTRICTED MANUFACTURING) ZONE.
WHEREAS, Harold Swatez requested that the Planning Commission
determine whether or not a welding shop and automotive repair are similar
to the uses listed in the M-R zone; and
WHEREAS, the M-R zone permits motor vehicle assembly, boat
building and repair; and
WHEREAS, both proposed uses are listed as permitted uses for
this location in the Draft Industrial Area Specific Plan; and
WHEREAS, the proposed uses are consistent with the General Plan ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of
the City of Rancho Cucamonga does hereby find:
Section 1 : Welding shop uses and automotive repair are similar
in nature to the uses listed in the M-R zone, and that they
• may be allowed in the M-R zone, and that they may be allowed
in the M-R zone where consistent with the General Plan and
Industrial Area Specific Plan as determined by the City Planner.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 22ND DAY OF APRIL, 1981.
