A RESOLUTION OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA PLANNING
COMMISSION DENYING DEVELOPMENT REVIEW NO. 81 -07
FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A RETAIL GARDEN CENTER ON
1 . 9 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED ON THE SOUTHEAST CORNER
OF HELMS AVENUE AND FOOTHILL BOULEVARD, WITHIN
THE C-2 ZONE.
WHEREAS, on the 6th day of February, 1981 , a complete application
was filed by the Prayer Brothers for review of the above-described
project; and,
WHEREAS, on the 10th day of June, 1981 , the Rancho Cucamonga
Planning Commission held a meeting to consider the above-described
project; and,
WHEREAS, the Design Review Committee has reviewed the project
with the applicant and has recommended denial of the above-described
project.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Rancho Cucamonga Planning Commission
resolves as follows:
SECTION 1 : The above-described project is denied as presently
. proposed, based upon the following findings :
1 . The design of the proposed development is not consistent
with the architectual desires for Foothill Boulevard
2. The design of the proposed development does not meet the
Special Boulevard design criteria or design objectives of
the General Plan.
3. The design of the proposed development will not be
consistent or compatible with like commercial development
contemplated by the General Plan, in the immediate vicinity
of the project site.
4. The design of the site must be integrated with the existing
Perry' s Market development to provide compatibility of
design.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 10TH DAY OF JUNE, 1981.

I , JACK LAM, Secretary of the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho
Cucamonga, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly introduced, passed, and adopted by the Planning Commission of
the City of Rancho Cucamonga, at a regular meeting of the Planning
Commission held on the 10th day of June, 1981 by the following vote to-
wit:
