HomeMy WebLinkAbout80-05 - Resolutions RESOLUTION NO. 80-05 • A RESOLUTION OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA PLANNING COMMISSION ZONE CHANGE NO. 80-02 DENYING A PROPOSED CHANGE IN ZONING FROM R-3 TO C-1 FOR 15.85 ACRES LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF HAVEN BETWEEN LEMON AND HIGHLAND - ASSESSORS PARCEL NO. 201-271 -4 AND 201 -271 -21 WHEREAS, on the 25th day of January, 1980, an application was filed and accepted on the above-described project; and WHEREAS, on the 25th day of February, 1980, the Planning Commission held a duly advertised public hearing pursuant to Section 65854 of the California Government Code. SECTION 1 : The Rancho Cucamonga Planning Commission has found the following : 1 . That the granting of such zone change is premature for the area in which it is located. 2. That the granting of such zone change at this time would create an unbalanced ratio of zones and land uses for the area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that pursuant to Section 65850 to 65855 of the California Government Code, that the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Cucamonga hereby denies , without prejudice, on the 25th day of February, 1980, Zone Change No. 80-02. APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 25th DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1980. PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA BY:/� �/ .1._ �I erman Rem el , Chair, n MiATT T: \k" Secretary of the Planning Commission I , JACK LAM, Secretary of the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced, passed, and adopted by the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission held on the 25th day of February, 1980. • AYES: COMMISSIONERS: JONES, GARCIA, DAHL, TOLSTOY, REMPEL NOES: COMMISSIONERS : NONE ABSENT: COMMISSIONERS: NONE • 411 411 RESOLUTION NO. 80-06 • A RESOLUTION OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING AMENDMENTS TO THE ADOPTED INTERIM LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA GENERAL PLAN TO THE CITY COUNCIL WHEREAS, the City has established the second meeting in January, of 1980, as the first General Plan Amendment hearing date for Planning Commission review; and WHEREAS, comments were heard and considered both pro and con regarding the requested General Plan Amendments. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Rancho Cucamonga Planning Commission does hereby recommend that the City Council approve amend- ments to the Interim General Plan Land Use Element as follows : SECTION 1 : General Plan Amendment No. 80-01A - It is recom- mended the Interim Land Use Map be amended to show the southeast corner of Haven Avenue and Base Line as Neighborhood Commercial (Exhibit "A") . SECTION 2: General Plan Amendment No. 80-01B - It is recom- mended that the Interim Land Use Map of the General Plan be amended to show approximately 20 acres on the northeast corner of Haven • Avenue and Arrow Route as Neighborhood Community Commercial with the condition that final approval of the amendment would not be effective until a Conditional Use Permit has been granted by the Planning Commission for the site (Exhibit "B") . SECTION 3: General Plan Amendment No. 80-01C - It is recom- mended that the Interim Land Use Map of the General Plan be amended to relocate the asterisk indicating Alternative Neighborhood Commercial Sites from the west side of Haven Avenue between Highland and Lemon to the intersection of Highland and Haven (Exhibit "C") . SECTION 4: It is recommended that a Negative Declaration be adopted for each of the General Plan Amendments No. 80-OIA, 80-01C based upon the completion of the Initial Study and its findings .
