ORDINANCE NO. 420-A
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE C/TY OF RANCMO

THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rancho f~, California
recognizes that it is the intent of the City of Rancho Cucamonga to prc~ote
the goals and policies of the Federal C~tu~unity Develo~nent Block Grant
program, as well as those of the Redevelopment Agenc~'s Affordable Housing
Strategy, in order to provide for the improvement and maintenance of the
City's housing stock and by providing a healthier and safer environment for
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to actively prcmrfce the goals and
objectives of the Cce~.t~ulity Development Block Grant arfi Redevelopment
Affordable Housing programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Rancho Cucamonga, that Chapter 12.08 of the Rancho Cucamonga Municipal Code is
hereby amended by adding thereto to Ordinance No. 58, Section 5, to read, in
words and figures, as follows:
SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 58, Section 5 shall be amended to include
the following: Redevelopment and Oamr~3nity DeveloIment Block Grant programs
shall be exempted from full provi. sions of Section 2 .dedication requirements
when they are assisting low lnccm~ hceeowners in obtaining necessary
rehabilitation improvements in order to correct health, safety, and code
ov~olations on theam properties when the required dedication exceeds 5 peroent
the homeowners property and the City Engineer determined the exemption
would not unduly delay the correction of an immediately hazardous road
condition. However, full or partial dedications of up to 5 percent would be
required as determined by the City Engineer.
SECTION 2: The City Council declares that, should any provision,
section, paragraph, sentence or word of this ~ be rendered or declared
invalid by any final court action in a court of .cempetent jurisdiction, or by
reason of any preemptive legislation, the remauung provisions, sections,
paragraphs, sentences, and words of this Ordinance shall remain in full force
and effect.
SECTION 3: The Mayor shall sign this Ordinance and the City Clerk
shall cause the same to be published within fifteen days after its passage at
least once in the Inland Valley Daily [~m]]etin, a newspaper of general
circulation published in the Ci.ty of Ontario, California, and circulated in
the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California.
