SIGNAL MANA~BMB~TP~OGRAM~E~
WHEREAS, the City of Randlo O~m~lga recognizes that it is in the
interest of the naticT~a] ecenem~ to p.t.,.~..e the conservation of energy
resources and it reduces our nation's ~ae~ncy on costly foreign oil; and
WHerEAS, fuel efficient traffic signal management b~ the City of
Rancho Ok~amc~}a will provide benefits to the local c~ty in the form of
improved traffic flow, reduced fuel consumption, r~Ded vehicle operating
flow; ~
WHEREAS, funds have been established and are available through the
California De~ of Trar~tion for grants to local govekLx~ents f~r
efficient traffic sigr~] management projects;
NOW, I~{~IRE, THE CITY OOUNC/L OF ~}[E CITY OF ~ ~JCA~GA,
H~a~Y RESOLVES to authorize the su~ttal of an application to the Califcrnia
Depak-~ent of Tran~tion for a Fuel Efficient Traffic Signal Managemmnt
Grant and the City Er~ineer of the City of Rancho O~m~nga is hereby
authorized and empowered to execute in the name of the City of Rancho
Cucamonga all necessary applications, ccrfcracts, and agreenents to implement
PASSED, APP~0V~D, and ADO~ this 21st day of October, 1992.
