~ZING SUEMITEAL OF
WASTE GRANT APPLICATIC~ TO
INA'~aFa3~DWASTEMAN~}~qPBOARD
WHEREAS, the City of Rancho O~m~ga recognizes that it is in the
public interest to enact ~ implement an integrated w~ste management plan to
address the State' s diminishir~ landfill s~ace and potential adverse
M{BREAS, funds have been est~_blished by Assembly Bill 2448 (Eastin,
1987), and are available f~-~au the Solid Waste Disposal Site Cleanup and
Waste Management Board for grants to local gove~x-,~nt for waste diversira and
separation programs to prevent the disposal of hazardous waste, including
household hazardous waste, in solid waste landfills.
NOW, IHEREFORE,, the City Council of the City of Rancho O~monga
does hereby resolve that effective October 7, 1992:
Section 1. The Household Hazardous Waste Grant application is
authroized for subnittal to the California Integrated Waste Mana~ Board.
Section 2. ~he City Manager of the City of Ranc~ O w~ is
hereby authroized and empowered to execute all n~e~y applications,
contracts, and agreerents and amerr]mente hereto for the purpoee~ of secur/ng
application.
