A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING REVISION TO
THE ANNUAL GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT HEARING DATES
WHEREAS, State law allows cities to amend any element of
the General Plan a maximum of four times per year; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has considered the need
for a revised General Plan Amendment hearing schedule for land use
element amendments; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission wishes to provide the
public an opportunity to request a General Plan Amendment public
hearing on a timely basis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Rancho
Cucamonga Planning Commission does hereby recommend to the City of
Rancho Cucamonga City Council the establishment of revised General
Plan Amendment hearing dates and deadlines for submittal for land
use amendments as follows:
SECTION 1: Beginning in the calendar year 1985:
• A. The 2nd meeting of the Planning Commission in the
month of January shall be established as a General
Plan Amendment hearing date. The deadline for
submittal shall be no later than 5:00 p.m. on
November 15.
B. The 2nd meeting of the Planning Commission in May
shall be established as a General Plan Amendment
hearing date. The deadline for submittal shall be
no later than 5:00 p.m. on March 15.
C. The 2nd meeting of the Planning Commission in
September shall be established as a General Plan
Amendment hearing date. The deadline for submittal
shall be no later than July 15.
D. One additional meeting of the Planning Commission
per calendar year may be scheduled as a General Plan
Amendment hearing date when deemed necessary on a
date acceptable to the Planning Commission.

SECTION 2: In the event an Environmental Impact Report
• is required prior to Planning Commission review of a
General Plan Amendment application, said hearing shall be
held at the next scheduled General Plan Amendment date
after completion of the Draft EIR.

regularly introduced, passed, and adopted by the Planning Commission of the
City of Rancho Cucamonga, at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission held
on the 24th day of April , 1985, by the following vote-to-wit:
