HomeMy WebLinkAbout85-62 - Resolutions • RESOLUTION NO. 85-62 A RESOLUTION OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA PLANNING COMMISSION DENYING DEVELOPMENT REVIEW NO. 84-29 LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF MILLIKEN AVENUE, SOUTH OF 6TH STREET, IN THE INDUSTRIAL PARK DISTRICT. WHEREAS, on the 22nd day of June, 1984, a complete application was filed by the Koll Company for review of the above-described project; and WHEREAS, on the 24th day of April, 1985, the Rancho Cucamonga Planning Commission held a meeting to consider the above-described project. WHEREAS, said project fails to meet the Urban Design Standards, guidelines and Policies specified in the Industrial Specific Plan; and NOW, THEREFORE, the Rancho Cucamonga Planning Commission resolved as • follows: SECTION 1: That the following findings cannot be met: 1. That the design and improvements of Development Review No. 84-29 are in accord with the General Plan, the objectives of the Development Code and Industrial Specific Plan, and the purposes of the district in which the site is located. 2. That the proposed use, together with the conditions applicable thereto, will not be detrimental to the public health, safety, or welfare, or materially injurious to properties or improvements in the vicinity. 3. That the proposed use complies with each of the applicable provisions of the Development Code and Industrial Specific Plan. SECTION 2: That Development Review No. 84-29 is denied based upon the following facts: The proposed site plan is inconsistent with the policies and intent of the General Plan and Industrial Specific Plan, as follows: • S 1. Coordinated and logically linked pedestrian access to provide a comprehensive circulation system. 2. Coordinate and logically linked vehicular circulation to provide a comprehensive system with convenient access to buildings without interrupting open spaces. 3. Open spaces shall be integrated with pedestrian walks and defined by landscaping and other elements to create a sense of place.
