HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-94 - Resolutions RESOLUTION NO. 87-94 A RESOLUTION OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF ETIWANDA SPECIFIC PLAN AMENDMENT 87-01, TO MODIFY FIGURES 5-18, "COMMUNITY TRAILS"; FIGURE 5-19, "IMPROVED SIDEWALKS"; FIGURE 5-35, "24TH STREET, EAST OF LOOP". WHEREAS, on the 10th day of June, 1987, the Rancho Cucamonga Planning Commission held a public hearing pursuant to Section 65854 of the California Government Code; and WHEREAS, the General Plan and Etiwanda Specific Plan goals are to provide for a comprehensive and complete trails system; and WHEREAS, the proposed amendment will provide for an integral community trail link as a part of the trail system to be located within City jurisdiction to implement this goal of providing a complete and comprehensive trail system. SECTION 1: The Rancho Cucamonga Planning Commission has made the following findings: 1. That the subject property is suitable for the uses permitted in the proposed district in terms of access, size, and compatibility with existing land use in the surrounding area; and 2. That the proposed Specific Plan Amendment would not have significant impact on the environment or the surrounding properties; and 3. That the proposed change is in conformance with the General Plan and the Etiwanda Specific Plan. SECTION 2: The Rancho Cucamonga Planning Commission has found that this project will not create a significant adverse impact on the environment and recommends issuance of a Negative Declaration on June 10, 1987. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved: 1. That pursuant to Section 65850 to 65855 of the California Government Code, that the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Cucamonga hereby recommends approval on the 10th day of June, 1987, of the Etiwanda Specific Plan Amendment 87-01. 2. The Planning Commission hereby recommends that the City Council approve and adopt Etiwanda Specific Plan Amendment 87-01 as shown in Exhibits "A", "B", and "C" attached hereto. That a Certified Copy of this Resolution and related material hereby adopted by the Planning Commission shall be forwarded to the City Council APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 10TH DAY OF JUNE, 1987.
