HomeMy WebLinkAbout88-39 - Resolutions RESOLUTION NO. 88-39 A RESOLUTION OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF STREET NAME CHANGE NO. 88-01 REQUESTING A NAME CHANGE TO DESIGNATE WEST TERRA VISTA PARKWAY AND EAST TERRA VISTA PARKWAY AND TO DESIGNATE WEST ELM AVENUE WITHIN THE TERRA VISTA PLANNED COMMUNITY WHEREAS, on the 24th day of February, 1988, the Planning Commission held a duly advertised public hearing pursuant to Section 65854 of the California Government Code; and WHEREAS, on the 20th day of May, 1981, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 144 establishing Street Naming Policy for Rancho Cucamonga; and WHEREAS, the Planning Division has prepared a report discussing the justification for the change, recommending a replacement name and discussing the impact of the proposed change. NOW, THEREFORE, the Planning Commission has made the following findings: 1. The proposed change would not create significant adverse impacts on the environment. 2. The proposed change is consistent with the goals, policies, and standards of the General Plan. 3. The proposed change is consistent with the adopted circulation element. 4. The street name change is deemed necessary in order to protect the public health, safety, comfort, convenience, and general welfare. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: 1. That pursuant to Section 65850-65855 of the California Government Code, the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Cucamonga hereby recommends approval on the 24th day of February, 1988, of Street Name Change No. 88-01; 2. That the Planning Commission hereby recommends that the City Council approve and adopt Street Name Change No. 88-01; and 3. That a certified copy of this Resolution and related material hereby adopted by the Planning Commission shall be forwarded to the City Council .
