A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO CUCAMONGA RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF ETIWANDA
SPECIFIC PLAN AMENDMENT 88-03 AMENDING FIGURE 5-18
PERTAINING TO COMMUNITY TRAILS.
A. Recitals.
(i ) The City of Rancho Cucamonga has initiated an application for
Etiwanda Specific Plan Amendment 88-03, as described in the title of this
Resolution. Hereinafter in this Resolution, the subject Specific Plan
Amendment request is referred to as "the application".
(ii ) On July 13, 1988, the Planning Commission of the City of
Rancho Cucamonga conducted a duly noticed public hearing on the application
and concluded said hearing on that date.
(iii ) All legal prerequisites to the adoption of this Resolution
have occurred.
B. Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby found, determined and resolved by the
Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Cucamonga as follows:
1. This Commission hereby specifically finds that all of the facts
set forth in the Recitals, Part A, of this Resolution are true and correct.
2. Based upon substantial evidence presented to this Commission
during the above-referenced public hearing on July 13, 1988, including written
and oral staff reports, together with public testimony, this Commission hereby
specifically finds as follows:
(a) The Community Trails recommended apply to properties
located on the east and west sides of East Avenue, from a point roughly 1,400
feet north of Highland Avenue extending north to 24th Street as identified on
Exhibit "A" attached is part of this Resolution; and
(b) The Community Trails will provide necessary north/south
links between existing and proposed Community Trails to implement the goals
and objectives of the General Plan and Etiwanda Specific Plan.
3. Based upon the substantial evidence presented to this Commission
during the above-referenced public hearing and upon the specific findings of
facts set forth in paragraph 1 and 2 above, this Commission hereby finds and
concludes as follows:
(a) That the subject property is suitable for the
uses permitted within the district in terms of
access, size, and compatibility with existing
land uses in the surrounding area; and

(b) That the proposed Specific Plan Amendment would
not have significant impact on the environment
nor the surrounding properties; and
(c) That the proposed Specific Plan Amendment is in
conformance with the General Plan.
4. This Commission hereby finds and certifies that the project has
been reviewed and considered in compliance with the California Environmental
Quality Act of 1970 and, further, this Commission hereby recommends issuance
of a Negative Declaration.
5. Based upon the findings and conclusions set forth in paragraph
1, 2 and 3 above, this Commission hereby resolves as follows:
(a) That pursuant to Section 65850 to 65855 of the California
Government Code, that the Planning Commission of the City
of Rancho Cucamonga hereby recommends approval on the 13th
day of July 1988, Etiwanda Specific Plan Amendment 88-03.
(b) The Planning Commission hereby recommends that the City
Council approve and adopt Etiwanda Specific Plan Amendment
No. 88-03.
(c) That a Certified Copy of this Resolution and related
material hereby adopted by the Planning Commission shall be
forwarded to the City Council .
6. The Deputy Secretary to this Commission shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution.
