HomeMy WebLinkAbout88-220 - Resolutions RESOLUTION NO. 88-220 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT AMENDMENT 88-04 (CARYN COMPANY) , A PRE-ZONE FOR APPROXIMATELY 282 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF 24TH STREET (SUMMIT AVENUE) AND WARDMAN BULLOCK ROAD TO PLANNED COMMUNITY, AND MAKING FINDINGS IN SUPPORT THEREOF. APN: 226-082-16 AND 24-27 A. Recitals. (i ) The Caryn Company has filed an application for Development District Amendment 88-04 as described in the title of this Resolution. Hereinafter in this Resolution, the subject Development District Amendment is referred to as "the Application." (ii ) On October 26, 1988, the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Cucamonga conducted a duly noticed public hearing on the Application and concluded said hearing on that date. (iii ) All legal prerequisites to the adoption of this Resolution have occurred. B. Resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby found, determined, and resolved by the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Cucamonga as follows: 1. This Commission hereby specifically finds that all of the facts set forth in the Recitals, Part A of this Resolution are true and correct. 2. In conjunction with the Application, an Environmental Assessment, in conformity with the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act has been prepared. The Commission has determined that this project would not have a significant adverse effect on the environment, and hereby adopts a finding of no significant impact on the environment and recommends issuance of a Negative Declaration by the City Council . 3. Based upon substantial evidence presented to this Commission during the above-referenced public hearing on October 26, 1988, including written and oral staff reports, together with public testimony, this Commission hereby specifically finds as follows: PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 88-220 DDA 88-04 - CARYN COMPANY October 26, 1988 Page 2 (a) The subject property is suitable for the uses permitted in the proposed development district in terms of access, size, and compatibility with existing land use in the surrounding area; and (b) The proposed Development District pre-zone would not have significant adverse impacts on the environment, nor the surrounding properties; and (c) The proposed Development District pre-zone is in conformance with the General Plan. 4. The Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Cucamonga hereby recommends approval of the Application. APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 26TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 1988.
