A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF
AN AMENDMENT TO TITLE 17, CHAPTER 17.04, OF THE RANCHO
CUCAMONGA MUNICIPAL CODE PERMITTING THE USE OF ON-STREET
PARKING FOR MODEL HOME SALES OFFICES MEETING CERTAIN
CRITERIA AND MAKING FINDINGS IN SUPPORT THEREOF
WHEREAS, on the 26th day of October, 1988, the Planning
Commission held a duly noticed public hearing pursuant to Section
65864 of the California Government code and continued said public
hearing to November 9, 1988.
SECTION 1: The Rancho Cucamonga Planning Commission has
found that this amendment will not create a significant adverse
effect on the environment and recommends to City Council the
issuance of a Negative Delaration on November 9, 1988.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That pursuant to Section 65650 to 65855 of the
California Government code, that the Planning
Commission of the City of Rancho Cucamonga hereby
recommends approval of this amendment.
2. The Planning Commission hereby recommends that the
City Council approve this amendment to the
Municipal Code per the attached Ordinance.

of Rancho cucamonga, do hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly introduced, passed, and adopted
by the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, at a
regular meeting of the Planning Commission held on the 9th day of
November, 1988, by the following vote-to-wit:

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 17, CHAPTER 17.04,
OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA MUNICIPAL CODE PERMITTING THE
USE OF ON-STREET PARKING FOR MODEL HOMES SALES OFFICES
MEETING CERTAIN CRITERIA
WHEREAS, on the th day of , 1988, the City Council held a
duly noticed public hearing pursuant to Section 65864 of the California
Government Code.
The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1: Section 17.04.070, subsection (f) of Chapter 17.04 is
amended to read as follows:
(f) Street improvements and temporary parking at a rate of two (2)
spaces per model shall be completed to the satisfaction of the
City Engineer and City Planner prior to commencement of sales
activities or the display of model homes. The parking spaces
shall be located within an off-street facility, except on-
street parking may be permitted subject to the following
conditions:
(1) The sales office, models, and on-street parking spaces
shall be located at the end of a cul-de-sac street and
coordinated with construction phasing such that there are
no resident homeowners living in homes located adjacent to
the gated, secured area of the street.
(2) The parking stalls shall be adequately striped and shall
conform to City standards.
(3) The entire cul-de-sac, including the model home sales
office, and on-street parking, shall be secured with a
decorative fence and gate across the street that is kept
locked during non-operating business hours.
(4) An area for overflow parking shall be provided off-street
to the satisfaction of the City Engineer and City
Planner. Said parking area shall be located adjacent to
the model home sales office, outside the secured area,
appropriately signed, and provided with a drive approach
constructed to City standards.
(5) Parking shall be permitted only within and on the project
site. Parking along adjacent or perimeter streets (public
or private) shall not be used to satisfy the model home
sales parking requirement.

(6) Temporary landscaping, including minimum 48 inch box
trees, shall be provided within the on-street parking area
(cul-de-sac) . Temporary landscaping shall also be
provided within a planter area surrounding the overflow
parking area.
SECTION 2: Seciton 17.04.070, subsection (g) is amended to read as
follows:
(g) All fences proposed in conjunction with the model homes and
sales office shall be located outside of the public right-of-
way, except where approved by the City Planner and City
Engineer for security.
SECTION 3: This Council finds that this amendment will not
adversely effect the environment and hereby issues a Negative Declaration.
