CALLTO ORDER A regular meeting of the Rancho Cucamonga City Council was held on Wednesday, November 2, 1994, in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California. The meeting was called to order at 7:06 p.m. by Mayor Dennis L. Stout. Also present were Boardmembers: William J. Alexander, Charles J. Buquet II, Rex Gutierrez, Diane Williams, and Mayor Dennis L. Stout. Also present were: Jack Lam, City Manager; James Markman, City Attorney; Linda D. Daniels, RDA Manager; Olen Jones, Sr. RDA Analyst; Rick Gomez, Community Development Director; Scott Murphy, Associate Planner; Joe O'Neil, City Engineer; Bill Makshanoff, Building Official; Bob Dominguez, Administrative Services Director; Susan Stark, Finance Officer; Jim Frost, City Treasurer; Duane Baker, Assistant to the City Manager; Diane O'Neal, Management Analyst II; Susan Mickey, Management Analyst I; Chief Dennis Michael, Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District; and Debra J. Adams, City Clerk. B. ANNOUNCEMENTS/PRESENTATIONS BI. Presentation of Proclamation to honor Joseph Filippi, Sr. for a lifetime of accomplishment and service to the community. Mayor Stout presented a proclamation to the Filippi family. C. COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC Cl. Howard Guerrero, candidate for Mayor, commented on the October 30, 1994 article in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin regarding the candidates written by Diana Klm. He felt Ms. Klm did not provide good journalism and felt she should be banned from the City. D. CONSENT CALENDAR Jack Lam, City Manager, requested items D4 and D5 be removed from the agenda and continued to the next meeting as was done in the Redevelopment Agency agenda. UPDATE ON THE REGIONAL COMPREHENSIVE PLAN (RCP) (ORAL REPORT) (0203-03 PLANNING) City Council Minutes November 2, 1994 Page 9 Councilmember Buquet stated he had previously made a presentation to the Planning Commission on the RCP and that they wanted a Resolution to be done to be sent to the City Council for approval and concurrence. COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC No communications were made from the public. L. ADJOURNMENT MOTION: Moved by Buquet, seconded by Alexander to adjourn to an Executive Session regarding Labor Negotiations per Government Code Section 54957.6 to give Robert Dominguez, Administrative Services Director, direction in regards to the meet and confer process.
