CITY COUNCIL MINUTES

CALL TO ORDER
An adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga met on
Monday, April 7, 1986 in the Lions Park Community Center, 9161 Base Line Road,
Rancho Cucamonga. The meeting was called to order at 6:07 p.m. by Mayor Jon D.
MikeIs.
Present were Councilmembers: Jon D. MikeIs, Charles J. Buquet II, Pamela J.
Wright, and Mayor Pro Tem Richard M. Dahl.
Also present were: City Manager, Lauren M. Wasserman; City Clerk, Beverly A.
Autbelet; Administrative Analyst, Mark Lorimer; Community Development Director,
Jack Lam; City Planner, Brad Bullet; Community Services Director, Bill Nolley.
Absent: Mayor Jeffrey King
2. OVERVIEW OF CIVIC CF~TER PROCESS
Mr. Wasserman presented an overview as to where we were in the civic center de-
sign process. Re stated that tonight we will be dealing with the design devel-
opment stage. Mr. Wasserman turned the meeting over to Charles "'Duke" Oakley
who went over what the Subcommittee (consisting of Buquet and Wright) had ac-
complished.
After having viewed the artist renderings and asked questions about the exteri-
or design, the following motion was made:
MOTION: Moved by Buquet, seconded by Wright to accept the designs as shown and
direct architect and staff to proceed to Design Development. Motion carried
4-0-O-1 (King absent).
Mr. Wasserman suggested that the Subcommittee be kept inplace in order that
someone would be available in the future to discuss items. Council concurred.
3. AnJOURNMENT
MOTI08: Moved by Buquet, seconded by MikeIs to adjourn a Goals Meeting on Mon-
day, April 14, 6:00 p.m. in the Lions Park Community Center. Motion carried
unanimeusly 4-0-0-1 (King absent). The meeting adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
