JOINT CITY COUNCIL/PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES
Special Meeting
1. CALL TO ORDER.
A special joint meeting of the City Council and Planning Commission was held
in the multi-purpose room at Carnelian Elementary School, 7105 Carnelian Street,
Rancho Cucamonga, on Wednesday, August 29, 1979.
Chairman Rempel called the Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:17 p.m.
Mayor Frost called the City Council meeting to order at 7:18 p.m.
Planning Commissioners Present: Dahl, Jones, Tolstoy and Chairman Rempel.
Planning Commissioners Absent: Garcia.
City Council Members Present: Schlosser, Mikels, Bridge and Mayor Frost.
City Council Members Absent: Palombo.
2. PRESENTATION OF WILLIAM LYON COMPANY SPECIFIC PLAN. (1)
A presentation was made by SWA and Associates of the proposed project en-
compassing approximately 1,500 acres located in the vicinity of the northwest
intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Interstate 15. The majority of the
property within the Specific Plan area is owned by the William Lyon Company
of Orange County.
A question and answer period followed the presentation.
3. AJOURNMENT.
Motion: Moved by Tolstoy, seconded by Jones to adjourn the Planning Commission.
Motion unanimously carried.
Motion: Moved by Schlosser, seconded by Mikels to adjourn the City Council
meeting. Motion unanimously carried.
The meeting adjourned at 9:04 p.m.
