A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA ADOPTING THE 2016
CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA EMERGENCY OPERATIONS
PLAN •
WHEREAS, the City of Rancho Cucamonga has identified disaster resiliency as a vital
function and one of the most important activities undertaken by the City, and
WHEREAS, the City is charged and entrusted with the protection of persons and
property during an emergency and/or during disaster conditions, and
WHEREAS, the City is continuously revising the Emergency Operations Plan and
exercising emergency preparedness roles and responsibilities,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Rancho
Cucamonga adopts the 2016 Rancho Cucamonga Emergency Operations Plan and authorizes
the Director of Emergency Services to make all necessary administrative and operational
changes to the plan that are in keeping with the intent of the plan as approved. That the
Director of Emergency Services, or his/her duly appointed representative, is authorized and
required to perform all duties necessary to carry out the Emergency Operations Plan, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, to ensure the City's Emergency Operations Plan remains
current, the Emergency Operations Plan will be presented to the City Council for adoption in
accordance with all applicable National, State and local requirements and/or updates.
