ROLL CALL COMMISSIONERS: PRESENT: Richard Fletcher, Frances Howdyshell, Lou Munoz, Pam Stewart; Ray Wimberly ABSENT: None STAFF PRESENT: Steven Flower, Assistant City Attorney; Larry Henderson, Principal Planner; Dan James, Senior Civil Engineer; Corkran Nicholson, Assistant Planning Director; Lois Schrader, Planning Commission Secretary w x w w w ANNOUNCEMENTS None I xxxww APPROVAL OF MINUTES • Motion: Moved by Wimberly, seconded by Munoz, carried 4-0-1 (Stewart abstain), to approve the minutes of May 27, 2009. w x w w w PUBLIC HEARINGS A. TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP SUBTPM19179-HILLWOOD INVESTMENTS-Consideration of a 2-lot parcel map for a portion of an existing office project, located at the northwest corner of Haven Avenue and 26th Street - APN: 0209-092-07, 08 and 09. Related Files: DRC2006-00557 and SUBTT16909. The project qualifies as a Class 1 exemption under State CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 Existing Facilities. Larry Henderson, Principal Planner, presented the staff report. Chairman Fletcher opened the public hearing and seeing and hearing no comment closed the public hearing. Commissioner Howdyshell commented that the map application is a straightforward request. Commissioner Stewart concurred and moved approval. • Motion: Moved by Stewart seconded by Munoz, to adopt the Resolution of Approval for Tentative Parcel Map SUBTPM19179. Motion carried by the following vote: AYES: FLETCHER, HOWDYSHELL, MUNOZ, STEWART, WIMBERLY NOES: NONE ABSENT: NONE - carried + + w w x B. ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT AND CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT DRC2008-00802 - SCHEU STEEL-C. R. CARNEY ARCHITECTS -A proposal to develop a 61,141-square foot manufacturing/warehouse building on a property of 5.52 acres in the General Industrial District (Subarea 1), located on the west side of Vineyard Avenue, south of 9th Street (8810 Vineyard Avenue). APN: 0207-271-49, 23 and 46. Related Files: Preliminary Review DRC2008-00441,and Tree Removal Permit DRC2008-00803. CONTINUANCE REQUESTED Chairman Fletcher noted that the applicant has requested a continuance to the June 24, 2009 meeting. He asked if anyone wished to comment. Seeing and hearing no comment, he called for a motion. Motion: Moved by Munoz, seconded by Stewart, to grant the request to continue the public hearing to the June 24, 2009 meeting.
