PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES
Adjourned Meeting
January 26, 2005
Chairman Macias called the Adjourned Meeting of the City of Rancho Cucamonga Planning
Commission to order at 9:00 p.m. The meeting was held in the Council Chamber at Rancho
Cucamonga Civic Center, 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California.

STAFF PRESENT: Brad Buller, City Planner, Dan Coleman, Principal Planner
NEW BUSINESS
A. DISCUSSION REGARDING RESIDENTIAL DESIGN REVIEW
The Commission discussed current trends in projects currently in process and those approved over
the last two years. They generally agreed large massing in tract developments should be addressed
and directed the City Planner to arrange a field trip to revisit the issue.
Brad Buller, City Planner, shared that his staff was preparing a vacant land map that will depict the
remaining undeveloped residential properties in the City. He explained that we are nearing build out
and even though there will be future large residential developments in our Sphere, most of them are
already controlled by the respective Development Agreements approved with the annexations. He
indicated that he would set up a field trip for the Commissioners after the vacant land inventory map
is completed. He felt it was important to consider how many more projects will be subject to any
potential code changes to determine if it makes sense to change the code.
