Fostering a dog, cat, rabbit or any other animal in need of shelter, love, and guidance is a time- consuming effort, but it's also one of the most rewarding ways to help homeless pets. For additional information, call us at (909) 774-2076 to speak to a Foster Coordinator, or visit our website at RCPets.info. FLEA MARKET FUNdraiser March 10th RCPets.info WHY DO I NEED TO PURCHASE A DOG LICENSE? WHAT IS A MICROCHIP? BE A LIFE SAVER BECOME A FOSTER PARENT Join us at LoanMart Field 8408 Rochester Ave. Bring your four-legged friend for an exciting Quakes Baseball game. BARK IN THE BALLPARK Log onto RCQuakes.com for dates and times. Bark in the Ballpark runs April through August. It's almost here! The Rancho Cucamonga Animal Center invites you to join us at our annual Flea Market on Saturday, March 10th at Lions Community Center West (9161 Base Line Rd.) from 8 am to 1 pm. Discover an array of fabulous deals on gently used merchandise with the knowledge that you will be supporting programs and services at the Animal Center. Visit RCPets.info for more information. The City of Rancho Cucamonga and the State of California require that all dogs over four (4) months of age must have and wear a current license tag. Cats can be licensed on a voluntary basis. Although this is not required it is greatly encouraged. Your pet's license is proof of its current rabies vaccination and a valuable means of identification. It can help reunite you with your pet quickly and ensure that they are returned home safely if lost. License fees support the return of hundreds of lost pets to their homes and help adopt thousands of homeless pets to new families every year. In addition to a license tag, a microchip is one of the best types of identification your animal can have. It's with your pet for the rest of their life. Microchipping your pet is a quick and simple procedure. It is read by passing a microchip scanner over the pet's shoulder blades which transmits the chip's unique ID code. If your pet gets lost and is taken to any animal shelter or veterinarian, they will scan for a microchip and be able to read its unique ID code to retrieve your contact information to help reunite you with your loved one.
