PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES
Adjourned Meeting
October 23, 1996
Chairman Barker called the Adjourned Meeting of the City of Rancho Cucamonga Planning
Commission to order at 7:15 p.m. The meeting was held in the Rains Room of the Rancho
Cucamonga Civic Center, 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California.

COMMISSIONERS: PRESENT: David Barker, William Bethel, Rich Macias, Larry McNiel,
Peter Tolstoy
ABSENT: None
STAFF PRESENT: Miki Bratt, Associate Planner; Brad Buller, City Planner
ANNOUNCEMENTS
There were no announcements.
COMMISSION BUSINESS
A. COMMERCIAL LAND USE STUDY
Mr. Buller gave a brief update on Commercial Land use activity. He also noted that budget setting
begins shortly after the first of the year and that new requests should be made early in the process.
The Commission briefly discussed current activity and the need for long range planning for
commercial land use. Then they reviewed plans for continuing the Commercial Land Use Study
sessions. They expressed interest in a meeting with Shant Agajanian. They also expressed interest
in a field tour of commercial centers, with emphasis on the Foothill Boulevard corridor.
ADJOURNMENT
At 8:30 p.m., the Planning Commission adjourned to a workshop to tour the Foothill Boulevard
Corridor on October 30, 1996, at 2:30 p.m.
