February 22, 1995
Chairman Barker called the Adjourned Meeting of the City of Rancho Cucamonga
Planning Commission to order at 5:00 p.m. The meeting was held in the Rains Room
at Rancho Cucamonga Civic Center, 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga,
California.

COMMISSION BUSINESS
A. PLANNING COMMISSION ISSUES 1995-96
The Commission opened discussion on several issues facing planning and the
development review process. The issues of discussion were as follows:
· CEQA
· Traffic
· General Plan
· Development Code/Specific Plan Updates
· Commercial and Industrial Market Study
· Regional Planning
· SCAG, SANBAG, AQMD, etc.
· Planning Commission Policies/Philosophy
· Planning is pro business
· Density
· Fiscal Review of Good Planning
· Visual Pollution
· Design
s Signs (illegal)
· Technology...Improve the Process
· Historic Preservation
Both Planning Commissioners Melcher and Lumpp provided additional handouts at the
meeting on these issues.
