Adjourned Meeting
August 18, 1992
Planning Commission Goals and Priorities
Chairman McNiel called the Adjourned Meeting of the City of Rancho Cucamonga
Planning Commission to order at 9:00 a.m. The meeting was held in Brad
Buller's office at Rancho Cucamonga Civic Center, 10500 Civic Center Drive,
Rancho Cucamonga, California.

PLANNING COMMISSION GOALS AND PRIORITIES
Each Commissioner shared their thoughts on a mission statement for the
Commission. After some discussion on a mission statement and the goals and
policies as defined in the General Plan, the Commission determined that a
better use of their time would be to evaluate the existing Development Review
Committee process as opposed to the development of a new mission statement.
The Planning Commission discussed the current role and activities of the
Planning Commission and Design Review and how the Commission could best
address the issues that are currently most pressing and important to the
Commission.
The Commission addressed various ways the Design Review Committee process can
be restructured to afford more Commission time to broader policy issues.
Staff was directed to prepare some alternatives for consideration at a future
special meeting tentatively set for Tuesday, September 1, 1992, at 9:00 a.m.
