B. PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS
This is the time and place for the general public to address the Animal Care Foundation on any item
listed on the agenda. State law prohibits the Animal Care Foundation from addressing any issue not
previously included on the Agenda. The Animal Care Foundation may receive testimony and set the
matter for a subsequent meeting. Comments are to be limited to five minutes per individual.
C. CONSENT CALENDAR
The following Consent Calendar items are expected to be routine and non-controversial. They
will be acted upon by the Animal Care Foundation Board at one time without discussion. Any
item may be removed by a Board Member or member of the audience for discussion.

B. Announcements and Presentations
1. Animal Services Director Veronica Fincher gave an update for extreme
makeover: anticipated start date for the 2nd week of January 2017.
2. Animal Services Director Veronica Fincher announced the Animal Center
received the Helen Putnam award for the Kitten Nursery.
3. Animal Services Director Veronica Fincher shared the Animal Center's
statistics from January thru September: cats 83% and dogs 94% and to
date 1,702 cats and 1,586 dogs have come through the facility.
4. Animal Services Director Veronica Fincher announced that the Animal
Center will be offering $10 Pet Adoptions from December 1st through
December 30th during the holiday season.
5. Animal Services Community Programs Specialist Barbara Hansen
announced the Halloween Pet Portraits and the Holiday Pet Portraits were
successful.
C. Public Communication
1. None.
D. Foundation Business
1. Vice President Suzanne Buquet made a motion to approve last
Foundation Board meeting notes.
2. Vice President Suzanne and Board Member Soo gave an update on the
Golf Tournament. They encouraged all board members to donate a raffle
basket and sign up foursomes.
3. Board Member Renee is considering a wine tasting event.
4. Secretary Nancy announced the Furry Friends Flea Market is scheduled
for Saturday, February 25th from Sam to 1 pm at Lions Center West.
5. Board Member Renee and Animal Services Director Veronica Fincher
stated that they are creating a Newsletter.
6. Board Member Anthony is making a virtual video of the Animal Center. In
addition, Anthony is setting up a donation drive at the RC Photo Club.
7. AC Foundation Logo— board members need to vote by email by the end
of the year.
E. Identification of Items for the Next Meeting

4. Special Meetings: January 26 and February 16 at 5 p.m.

announced that Los Amigos Elementary helped raise $7,223 for an injured
black Labrador found at the school.

update on the Golf Tournament.
2. Secretary Nancy Mendoza announced the Furry Friends Flea Market is
scheduled for Saturday, February 25t1 at Lions Center West.
3. President Mary Guyer asked Barbara to organize another Boutique
Fundraiser.
