Mayor Michael called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. Present were Council Members: Ryan Hutchison, Kristine Scott, Sam Spagnolo, and Mayor Pro Tern Lynne Kennedy and Mayor L. Dennis Michael. Kevin Kenley, asked staff and City Council to research the opportunity of having an application available for the public on using mobility devices in a safely manner and research the possibility of not having devices being left anywhere in the City. Mayor Michael closed the Administrative Hearing item. Council Member Scott thanked staff for their work on establishing guidelines for safety. Management Analyst 11 Garcia noted that state law governs where scooters are not allowed. Council Member Scott thanked staff for listening to the business community. Mayor Michael thanked staff for having a Master Temporary Use Permit allowed. Management Analyst II Nakamura clarified that the Master Temporary Use Permit allows 12 permits per year. In response to Mayor Michael's questions, Management Analyst || Garcia stated that the north parking lot will have visible signs for the public to charge their electric vehicles and that the City adopted an an idling fee for cars parked for more than one hour. MOTION: K4nvod by Council Member Hutchison, seconded by Council Member Scott, to approve the purchase of one (1) electric vehicle DC Fast Charger from ChargePoint, Inc. and allow City Manager to enter into a five (5) year network services and operations and maintenance agreement for a total amount of $61,050 and authorize staff to appropriate the necessary funding.
