CITY COUNCIL AND FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
The City of Rancho Cucamonga City Council held a apnco| meeting on Tuesday, February25. 2020, in Paul A.
Biane Library, Second Story Exhibit Space, 12505 Cultural Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California. Mayor
L. Dennis Michael called the meeting tuorder ot0:05 a.m.
Present were Councilmembers Ryan Hutchison, Kristine Scott, Sam Spagnolo, Mayor Pro Tern Lynne Kennedy,
and Mayor LDennis Michael.
Also present were: John GiUison, City Manager; Biea Cox Deputy City Manager/Civic and Cultural Services;
Lori Sassoon, Deputy City Manage r/Ad m in istrative Services; Matt Burris, Deputy City Manager/Community and
Economic Development; and Linda A. Troyan' City Clerk Services Director.
Nopublic communications were made.
C1. City Council Teambuilding Workshop Discussion on City Council Norms, Values, a Draft Vision and Mission
Statement, Draft Code of Ethics, and City Council Goals Including Work Plan.
City Council, along with City Manager Gillison and staff, reviewed, discussed, and finalized draft City Council
Mission Statement, Core Values, and Vision Statement.
Recess: The meeting recessed sd13:2Opm. for lunch.
Reconvene: The meeting reconvened at1:3Up.m.
Present were Councilmembers Ryan Hutchison, Kristine Scott, Sam Spagnolo, Mayor Pro Tem Lynne Kennedy,
and Mayor LDennis Michael.
Council reviewed and commented on a draft Code of Ethics, and staff presented the 2O2O City Departmental
VVorkp|en. Final City Council Mission and Vision Statements, Core Values, Code of Ethics, and a Resolution of
Commitment to Unified Governance to return to Council for adoption at a City Council meeting.
Mayor Michael adjourned the meeting at316p.m.
