CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA New Mitigation Measure • The South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) has contacted the City requesting the inclusion of a new mitigation measure related to asbestos emissions. • New Language: The project shall comply with South Coast Air Quality Management District Rule 1403 (Asbestos Emissions from Demolition/Renovation) for the demolition of the existing on -site structure, and all construction equipment shall comply with SCAQMD Rules 402 and 403. • CEQA Section 15073.5(c)1 states that recirculation of the MND is not required when a mitigation measure more effective than the existing mitigation measures. • CEQA Section 15074.1(c) states that no recirculation of the proposed mitigated negative declaration is required pursuant to Section 15072, when the new mitigation measure is incorporated into the project approval.
