1. All work shall be done in 4ccordence ,ith t.ese plans, the City of Rancho
Cucamonga standards and the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction,
current edition. Contractor Shall be familiar with and shall bW, responsible
for adherar:c tt these standards and specifications.
2. All pipelines or substructures of any kind,, telephone or power poles, water
meters, valves, fire hydrants, etc, shown or not shown on these plans within
the right of way limits or in adjacent areas where improvement work is rp 'tie
lone shall be removed, relocated or prot_cxed in place as required at no
tDSL to tha City of Rancho Cucamonga,
3. The respc:,sibility or adjusting manhole or valve covers, paving repair anu paving
replacement in connection with sewer and water, gat, phone, electric or other
utility line installations will he the responsibility of the owner, and shalA
be accomplished in compliance with apprrtenant ordina,..es and standards,
4. Any Contractor performing work on thir, project shall Izamiliarize himself with

6. A permit shall be obtained from the City of Rancho Cucamonga Engineering

Cucamonga easement or right-of-way.

9. Sub -grade stakes, �.,iven to the pavement sub -grade elevation, shall be set
by the Contractor or Engineer. The stakes shall be set at all hinge points,
edge of pavement points within 0.01 foot of sub -grade elevation and at not
mire than 50 foot intervals. Additional stakes may be needed a warped or *ferticil
cul:e seas, sub -grade stakes shall be in place prior to paving to permit Spot
checkigg of sul:-grade by inspection personnel.
1.0. All sewer, waver, electric, gas, phone or other utility laterals, mains, or
crossings shall be constructed prior to paving.
11. Compaction, tests of embankment construction, trench backfill, compacting
original ground and all sub -grades shall be performed at no cost to the City _
of Rancho Cucamone a. A written report with ',#te a compaction test shall be
submitted to `he City Engineer, for approval prior to the placement of base
materials and/or surfacing.
12. At the completion of paving, a materials report shall be submitted td the (ity
Engineer. Listing all tests or determinations completed to verify:
a) R-Value, seive analysis an` sand equivalent of aggregate base.
b) Stability, oil contenct and sieve analysis of asphalt surfacing.
13. When asphalt concrete is placed on native soil which consist; of a rocky
material, The sub -grade shall be prepared by removing all 1)cks which
protrude above the sub -grade and all voids or depressions sl.ill be filled
with a fine grade material of a quantity better than the native material.
14, if the asphalt concrete is to be placed on sub -grade, a soil, sterilant
registered by the E,P.A, for use under A.C. and P.C.C. shall be uniformly
applied at the manufacturer's recommended rate for the full pavement width
prior to paving.
15. Estimate of quantities is provided by the Engineer only for the convenience
of the developer, tre contractor shall make his own determination of construction
quantities before submitting a bid. Any item of work required by these plans
which is not specifically listed in the estimate of quantities shall be
considered as included in the other items o< work.

1, Ali work shall be done in accordance with Section 306 of the "Standard
Specifications for Public -corks Construction" (1979 Edition).
2. Any Contractor performing work on this project shall familiarize himself
with this site and shall be solely responsible for any damage to existing
facilities resulting directly or indirectly from his operation, whether or
not such facilities are shown on these plans.
3. Prior to commencement of work on this project, the Contractor shall
verify the exact elevations of existing improvements to be joined or crossed
and shall consult with the Engineer regarding any adjustments which may 1
become necessary.
4, The Contractor shall obtain a dust control permit from the Department of
Agriculture at 325 Lasr 'C" Street, Ontario, California , phone (714)
988-1305, prior to commencing work, and shall adhere to all requirements
of this, permit.
5. The Contractor shall obtain all necessary permits from the City of Rancho
Cucamonga.

for job site conditions during the course of construction of this project,
including safety of all persoris and property; that this requirement shall
