LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING MINUTES
CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Library Board of Trustees was held on Thursday, November 3, 2022,
in the Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga,
California. President Christine DeVries called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Present were Members Murrieta-Morales, Temkin and Wells.
Also present were: Wess Garcia, Acting Library Director, Angelica Trummell, Head of Children’s
and Family Services, Brittany Garcia, Adult and Teen Supervisor and Jennifer Palacios, Executive
Assistant II.
A. PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS
Frank Atry spoke on his allotted public communications time.
B. CONSENT CALENDAR
C. LIBRARY DIRECTOR’S STAFF REPORTS
B1. Consideration of Meeting Minutes for the Regular Meeting of October 6, 2022.
MOTION: Moved by Member Murrieta-Morales, seconded by Member Wells, to approve
Consent Calendar Item B1. 4-0-1 (with Board Member Miller absent).
B2. Consideration to Approve the Library Holidays Calendar for 2023.
MOTION: Moved by Member Temkin, seconded by Member Murrieta-Morales, to approve
Consent Calendar Item B1. 4-0-1 (with Board Member Miller absent).
C1. Verbal Report—General Library Update. Presented by Wess Garcia, Acting Library Director.
Acting Library Director Garcia presented an oral Library Services update report.
C2. Verbal Report – Children’s Services, Adult Services and Library Programming. Presented
by Angelica Trummell, Head of Children’s and Family Services.
Head of Children’s and Family Services Trummell presented an oral report about upcoming
Library Service Programs.
C3. Library Use Metrics Report presented by Wess Garcia, Acting Library Director.
Acting Library Director Garcia shared information from the Library Use Metrics Report for
July through September 2022.
C4. Verbal Report – Library of Things and Seed Library update. Presented by Brittany Garcia,
Adult and Teen Services Supervisor.

E. IDENTIFICATION OF ITEMS FOR THE NEXT MEETING
Acting Library Director Garcia stated the Library Fee schedule will be presented at the
December 1, 2022, meeting.
F. IDENTIFICATION OF ITEMS FOR THE NEXT MEETING
President DeVries adjourned the meeting at 6:58 p.m. to December 1, 2022.
