A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, OPPOSING THE PROPOSED SAN
BERNARDINO COUNTY AFFORDABLE HOUSING TASK FORCE POLICY
STATEMENT.
WHEREAS, on May 13, 1980, the Coordinator of the Affordable
Housing Committee requested that the Planning Commission support and
participate in the Housing Task Force; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission feels that the City of Rancho
Cucamonga is supportive of Affordable Housing and seeks to provide its
fair share allocation under SCAG's Fair Share Allocation Model; and
WHEREAS, the City of Rancho Cucamonga is working on a General
Plan that will address the issues of affordable housing in Rancho
Cucamonga; and
WHEREAS, we are in opposition to another level of government
which will provide another roadblock to cities' exercise of local
control,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of 'the
City of Rancho Cucamonga does hereby oppose the present proposed policy
statement related to Affordable Housing as submitted by the Coordinator
for the Affordable Housing Committee to the Board of Supervisors on
May 27, 1980.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 4th day of June, 1980.
