A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, REVISING THE ANNUAL GENERAL PLAN
AMENDMENT HEARING DATES
WHEREAS, State law allows cities to amend any element of the General
Plan a maximum of four times per year; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed and recommended
approval of the proposed revisions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the need for a revised
General Plan Amendment hearing schedule for land use element amendments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to provide the public an opportunity
to request a General Plan Amendment public hearing on a timely basis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Rancho Cugamonga City
Council does hereby establish revised General Plan Amendment hearing dates for
land use amendments and deadlines for submittal as follows:
SECTION 1: Beginning in the calendar year 1985:
The 2nd meeting of the Planning Commission in the
month of January shall be established as a General
Plan Amendment hearing date. The deadline for
submittal shall be no later than 5:00 p.m. on
November 15.
The 2nd meeting of the Planning Commission in May
shall be established as a General Plan Amendment
hearing date. The deadline for submittal shall be
no later than 5:00 p.m. on March 15.

The 2nd meeting of the Planning Commission in
September shall be established as a General Plan
Amendment hearing date. The deadline for submittal
shall be no later than July 15.
One additional meeting of the Planning Commission
per calendar year may be scheduled when deemed
necessary on a date acceptable to the Planning
Commission.
SECTION 2: In the event an environmental impact report is required
prior to Planning Commission review of a General Plan Amendment application,
said hearing shall be held at the next scheduled General Plan Amendment date
after completion of the EIR.
