A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF P, ANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, SUPPORTING THE NEED FOR DEVELOPMENT
OF A FULL SERVICE ACUTE CARE HOSPITAL AND RELATED MEDICAL
FACILITIES
WHEREAS, the City of Rancho Cucamonga has experienced exceptional
growth over the last several years and is one of the fastest growing communi-
ties in the United States; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Rancho Cucamonga do not presently
have access to a hospital within their own community; and
WREREAS, the Inland Counties Health System Agency has indicated a
shortage of hospital beds in this area to meet the projected health care needs
of 1990 and beyond; and
WHEREAS, the construction and operation of a new hospital and support
facilities will provide hundred of jobs for residents of Rancho Cucamonga and
surrounding commnities; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Rancho Cucamonga hereby supports the need for comprehensive medical facilities
within the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the preliminary plans sumitted by
Republic Health Corp. appear to meet that critical need.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 6th day of March, 1985.
