A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACT
AS THE OFFICIAL CITY REPRESENTATIVE IN CONNECTION
WITH ALL SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS AND NATIONAL
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY ACT REQUIREMENTS FOR THE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development
regulations governing the Community Development Block Grant Program
require that the governing body of a city officially authorize a repre-
sentative of the City to submit the Final Statement of Community Ob-
jectives, to certify that all federal requirements have been met, to act
as the official representative of the City in connection with the final
submission and to provide such additional information as may be required;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Rancho Cucamonga must authorize a person
to consent to assume the status of a responsible federal official under
the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and other authorities as
specified in the federal regulations; and
WHEREAS, the person so authorized must consent on behalf of
the City and themself to accept the jurisdiction of the federal courts
for the purpose of enforcement of their responsibilities as such an
official.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of
Rancho Cucamonga is hereby authorized to act as the official represent-
ative of the City in all matters and duties regarding the Community
Development Block Grant Program.
