HomeMy WebLinkAbout82-81 - ResolutionsRESOLUTION NO. 82-81 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA STATING COUNCIL POLICY REINFORCING AND CLARIFYING THE CITY'S GENERAL PLAN LAND USE POLICIES FOR THAT PORTION OF THE CITY BORDERED BY THE CITY LIMIT ON THE WEST AND NORTH, HAVEN AVENUE TO THE EAST AND BANYAN STREET ON THE SOUTH WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga has adopted a Land Use Element of the General Plan; and WHEREAS, the Land Use Element contains a land use plan specifying land use categories; and WHEREAS, that area of the City generally bounded by the north city limits, west city limits, Haven Avenue and Banyan Street, contains designations of "Very Low" density (less than 2 units or less, per acre); and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to protect and maintain the land use character that exists in that area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that: The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga hereby states its intention to maintain all those properties in the above-described area having the General Plan designation of "Very Low" density for residential developments having a minimum lot size of 20,000 square feet; and The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga will adopt no zoning district(s) other than that which will result in a minimum lot size of 20,000 square feet for properties having General Plan designations of "Very Low" density in the above- described area. PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 5th day of May, 1982. AYES: Dahl, Buquet, Schlosser, Frost, Mikels NOES: None ABSENT: None ATTEST:
