A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, COMMENDING ARTHUR
H. BRIDGE FOR HIS SERVICES AS A MEMBER OF THE
CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, Arthur H. Bridge was appointed to the City Council in
May, 1979, and elected in 1980 to serve a two-year term on the Rancho
Cucamonga City Council; and
WHEREAS, City Councilman Arthur H. Bridge was elected by his
colleagues to serve as Mayor Pro Tempore from 1980 through 1982; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure as a member of the Rancho Cucamonga
City Council, Arthur H. Bridge continually provided his colleagues and
the citizens of Rancho Cucamonga with outstanding leadership, dedication,
and competence; and
WHEREAS, while a member of the City Council, Arthur H. Bridge
was instrumental in improving the economic and social well being of the
community by participating in decisions regarding the adoption of Rancho
Cucamonga's first General Plan, the acquisition of several park sites,
and numerous other significant accomplishments which will have a lasting
impact on the City of Rancho Cucamonga; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Pro Tempore Bridge has chosen not to seek re-
election in April of 1982.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Rancho Cucamonga City
Council, on behalf of its 56,000 citizens, hereby commends Arthur H.
Bridge for his outstanding leadership while serving as a member of the
City Council and extends best wishes for continued success in his future
endeavors.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 20th day of April, 1982.
