A RESOLUTIO!~[ OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, RECOGNIZING AND
ACKNOWLEDGING THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF ROBERT HICKCOX
IN FURTHERING THE GOALS OF HISTORIC PRESERVATION
FOR THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA
WHEREAS, Robert Hickcox has shown praiseworthy dedication in
the extensive research and documentation of the early history of the
Etiwanda Community; and
WHEREAS, that documentation has been compiled into a volume
about the history of Etiwanda by Robert Hickcox; and
WHEREAS, that colume has been presented by Robert Hickcox to
the present and future citizens of our City as a tribute to the citizens
of the past; and
WHEREAS, the work by Robert Hickcox toward preserving the past
history of the Etiwanda Community will contribute toward the enrichment,
enjoyment and education of future generations.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City
of Rancho Cucamonga, California, as follows;
THAT the high standards of service, dedication and contributions
made by Robert Hickcox to the citizens of Rancho Cucamonga in the field
of historic preservation serves as an excellent example of selfless
community service.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 17th day of February, 1982.
