A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE
CITY TO SIGN INVOICES SUBMITTED TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
DEPARTMENT OF FORESTRY FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF EXPENSES INCURRED
WHILE PERFORMING THE WORK AUTHORIZED BY THE URBAN FORESTRY
GRANT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN ALL CHECKS RECEIVED
FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF FORESTRY AS REIM-
BURSEMENT FOR EXPENSES INCURRED WHILE PERFORMING WORK AUTHOR-
IZED BY THE URBAN FORESTRY GRANT
WHEREAS, the City of Rancho Cucamonga has been awarded an
Urban Forestry Grant by the State Department of Forestry to fund a tree
planting, maintenance, passive energy conservation, and information
demonstration project; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Forestry requires that all
applicants receiving an Urban Forestry Grant sign a Contract and designate
a person within the City administration empowered by the City to sign
invoices submitted for reimbursement to the State Department of Forestry
and to sign checks received from the Department of Forestry as reimbursement
for expenses incurred as part of this demonstration project.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council does hereby
empower Phillip D. Schlosser, Mayor of the City of Rancho Cucamonga to
sign invoices submitted for reimbursement to the State Department of
Forestry and checks received from the State Department of Forestry as
reimbursement for expenses incurred as part of this demonstration project;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in the event that Mayor Schlosser
is unavailable or unable to sign invoices submitted for reimbursement or
checks received from the Department of Forestry as reimbursement for
expenses incurred as part of the demonstration project, Lauren Wasserman,
City Manager of the City of Rancho Cucamonga or Harry Empey, Director of
Finance of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, are empowered to sign any and
all such invoices and checks.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 6th day of January, 1982.
