A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, COMMENDING LAUREN M. WASSERMAN FOR
HIS SERVICE TO THE CITY AS CITY CLERK
WHEREAS, Lauren M. Wasserman served the citizens of Rancho Cucamonga
as City Clerk from March of 1978 until April of 1984; and
WHEREAS, Lauren M. Wasserman, as the City's first City Clerk,
instituted the Office of City Clerk in March of 1978; and
WHEREAS, Lauren M. Wasserman, planned and administered the City's
first municipal election and three other elections during his six years of
service; and
WHEREAS, Lauren M. Wasserman, was instrumental in the creation and
continuous implementation of the City's records management program and computer
systems; and
WHEREAS, Lauren M. Wasserman, as City Clerk, issued the City's first
bond in July of 1984 for land improvements in the Rancho Cucamonga industrial
area; and
WHEREAS, Lauren M. Wasserman has provided outstanding leadership and
service to the citizens of Rancho Cucamonga and to his colleagues while
successfully executing the duties of City Clerk.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Rancho Cucamonga City Council,
on behalf of its citizens, does hereby commend Lauren M. Wasserman for his
outstanding leadership and service while serving as the first City Clerk of the
City of Rancho Cucamonga.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 17th day of April, 1984.
