HomeMy WebLinkAbout84-197 - ResolutionsRESOLUTION NO. 84-197 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY ON JUNE 28, 1984, DECLARING THE RESULT AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS PROVIDED BY THE PROVISIONS OF LAW. WHEREAS a Special Muncipal Election, Community Facilities District No. 84-1, was held and conducted in the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California, on Tuesday, June 26, 1984 as required by law; and WHEREAS notice of the election was duly and regularly given in time, form and manner as provided by law; and that all respects the election was held and conducted and the votes were cast, received and canvassed and the returns made and declared in time, form and manner as required by the provisions of the Elections Code of the State of California for the holding of mail ballot elections in cities; and WHEREAS, the County Registrar of Voters canvassed the returns of the election and has certified the results to this City Council, the results are received, attached and made a part hereof as "Exhibit A." NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That the whole number of votes cast in the City was 60. SECTION 2: That the Measure voted upon at the Election is as follows: Proposition A Shall the City of Rancho Cucamonga, Community Facilities District No. 84-1 (Day Creek Drainage System) incur a bonded indebtedness in an amount not to exceed $20,225,000 to finance certain public capital drainage improvements to meet the needs of new development within the Community Facilities District, including all appurtenant work necessary and incidental expenses, said indebtedness to be secured by annually levied special taxes? SECTION 3: That the number of votes given in the City to each of such Measure were as listed in Exhibit A attached. SECTION 4: That as a result of the election, a majority of the qualified voters voting on the Measure relating to did vote in favor of it, and that the Proposition was carried, and shall be deemed adopted and ratified. SECTION 5: The City Clerk shall enter on the records of the City Council of the City, a statement of the result of the election showing: 1. The whole number of votes cast in the City; 2. The Measure voted upon; 3. The number of votes given in the City for and against the Measure. SECTION 6: That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution and enter it into the book of original Resolutions.
