HomeMy WebLinkAbout84-191 - ResolutionsRESOLUTION NO. 84-191 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF R~CHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-182 IN ITS ENTIRETY AND ESTABLISHING NEW PROVISIONS FOR PARTIAL REIMBURSEMENT TO MEMBERS OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR EXPENSES INCURRED WHILE SERVING AS MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION WHEREAS, the General Law of the State of California provides that a city planning commission may be appointed for the purpose of administering both City and State laws relating to planning, zoning, and land use; and WHEREAS, members of the Rancho Cucamonga Planning Commission devote substantial time and effort on behalf of the City of Rancho Cucamonga; and WHEREAS, Planning Commissioners are required as a part of their responsibilities to make on-site inspections of properties which will be discussed at further Planning Commission meetings; and WHEREAS, as a result of these inspections, members of the Planning Commission routinely incur certain expenses related to the use of their personal vehicles and to the performance of their official duties for the City; and WHEREAS, it is appropriate that Planning Commissioners receive some reimbursement for expenses related to the discharge of their official duties. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does hereby resolve that members of the Planning Commission shall receive the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00) per meeting, not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00) per month to offset a portion of the expenses incurred while serving as members of the Planning Commission.
