A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING THE ENFORCING OFFICER
FOR ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICES AND ESTABLISHING A FEE
SCHEDULE FOR THE LICENSING OF DOGS IN THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA
WHEREAS, the City of Rancho Cucamonga has ch en to contract for
animal control service from the San Bernardino County Public Health
Department; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the City Council of the City of Rancho
Cucamonga, California, Ordinance 63, Section 1, Paragraph b, providing that
the City Council of Rancho Cucamonga is authorized to designate an "Enforcing
Officer" for the purpose of animal control within the City of Rancho
Cucamonga, California; and
WHEREAS, the law of the State of California requires that dogs kept
within the State be licensed; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California,
Ordinance 63, Section 4, Paragraph a, "Dog license fees are hereby set by
resolution" of the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Raneho Cucamonga does
hereby designate the San Bernardino County Public Health Department or other
such agency as the Board of Supervisors may designate as "Enforcing Officer"
for Animal Control within the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Rancho Cueamonga shall impose
a fee requirement for the licensing of dogs.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following charges are established:
Dog License Fee
A. Annual Fee (prior to July 31) .......... $15.00
(unspayed/unneutered)
B. Annual Fee (prior to July 31) .......... $ 5.00
(spayed/neutered)
C. 1/2 - year Fee (after December 31) ..... $ 7.50
(unspayed/unneutered)
D. 1/2 - year Fee (after December 31) ..... $ 2.50
spayed/neutered)
E. Delinquent Fee (after July 31) ......... $25.00
(includes Annual Fee)
2. Pick-up and disposal of owned dog .......... $12.00
New owner registration of
currently licensed animal .................. $ 1.00
Apprehension Fee .......................... $ 9.00
