HomeMy WebLinkAbout83-28 - ResolutionsRESOLUTION NO. 83-28 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING EMERGENCY EXPENDITURES FOR REPAIRS OF PUBLIC ROADS AND STREETS, INCLUDING RIGHT OF WAYS, PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 3?906 WHEREAS, severe storms and flooding commencing on or about February 27, 1983 have caused extensive damage to public roads and streets, including right-of-ways, in the City of Rancho Cucamonga; and WHEREAS, such storms may continue and may cause further damage within the City of Raneho Cueamonga; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cueamonga has declared that a local emergency now exists within the City from said storms and flooding; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does resolve as follows: The public interest and necessity demand the immediate expenditure of public money for the repair and/or replacement of public roads and streets including right-of-ways in the City damaged by storms and floods since February 27, 1983 in order to safeguard life, health, and property. PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 2nd day of March 1983 AYES: Dahl, Buquet, Schlosser, Frost, Mikels NOES: None ABSENT: None ATTEST: Wasserman, City Clerk Mayor
