A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCA~D.NGA, CALIFORNIA, TO AWARD AND EXECUTE A PROPESSIONAL
SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH ASSOCIATED ENGINEERS OF ONTARIO,
CALII~)RNIA TO PREPARE PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND ESTIMATE
FOR BASE LINE ROAD IMPROVEMENT AND STORM DRAIN PROJECT
BETWEEN ROCHESTER AVENUE AND VICTORIA PARK LANE
W~EREAS, the City of Rancho Cucamon~a desires to ~mprove Base Line
Road as a major divided east-west thoroughfare between Rochester Avenue and
Victoria Park Lane, and as a consequence sent out Request for Proposals to
several engineering companies to design such project for constructionI
WHEREAS, the fire of Associated; Engineers has represented as qualified
to perform the services in the Request for Proposal and was chosen ~y the City
Engineering Staff to provide professional engineering services for field
surveys, engineering design, studies and calculations for the preparation of
plans, specifications and estimate for Base Line Road Improvements and Storm
Drain.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Rancho Cucamonga does hereby resolve to award and execute a P~ofessional
Services Agreement with Associated Engineers to provide professional
engineering services to prepare plans, specifications and estimate for Base
Line Road Improvements and Storm Drain Project between Rochester Avenue and
Victoria Park Lane. Such work shall be performed for a fee not to exceed
$60,000.00 to be funded by S~stems Development Fund. Account No. 22-4637-8732.
A contingency fund in an amount of 10~ of the contract amount shall also be
established for use under the approval and direction of the City Engineer for
extra work or ~hange Order during the course of plan preparation.
