A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA. APPROVIN~ DESIGNATION THE SITE OF
THE ETIWANDA GRAPE PRODUCTS COMPAN~ LOCATED AT 9370
ETIWANDA AVENUE AS A POINT OF HISTORIC INTEREST
WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission has held a duly
advertised public hearing to consider all comments on the proposed Designation
and issued Resolution No. 88-12 recommending to this City Council that said
Historic Landmark Designation be approved.
WHEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed all input from the
Historic Preservation Commission regarding said Landmark Designation.
WHEREAS, all legal prerequisites to the adoption of this Resolution
have occurred.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does
hereby specifically find, determine, and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1: The application applies to property located at Assessor
Parcel Number 229-283-62.
SECTION 2: The proposed landmark meets the following criteria
established in Chapter 2.24.090 of the Rancho Cucamonga Municipal Code:
A. Historical and Cultural Significance:
1. The proposed Point of Historic Interest is
particularly representative of an historical way
of life.
2. The proposed Point of Historic Interest is an
example of a type of building which was once
common, but is now rare.
3.The proposed Point of Historic Interest is
connected with a local personality.
4. The proposed Point of Historic Interest is
connected with a business or use which was once
common, but is now rare.
B. Historic Architectural and Engineering Significance:

1. The proposed Point of Historic Interest in its
location represents an established and familiar
visual feature of the community.
SECTION 3: Designation of a Point of Historic Interest is exempt from
CEQA (Article 19, Section 15308).
SECTION 4: Based on tie substantial evidence received and reviewed by
this Council and based on the findings set forth above,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does
hereby approve designation of the site of the Etiwanda Grape Products Company
as a Point of Historic Interest.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 17th day of August, 1988.
