A RESOLUTION OF THE CIT~ COUNCIL OF THE CIT~ OF RANCHO
U3 CAMDNgA, CALIFORNIA, SETTING MAXI~M RATES FOR
RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL REPUSE COLLECTING
WITHIN THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA
WHEREAS. the City Council of the City of Rancho ~ucamonga recogn/zes
that effective July 20, 1988 the County of San Bernardino w111 substantlally
increase the tonnage fees for refuse deposited at the M//liken Landfill site by
22.7~I and
W~iEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rancho tucamonga recognizes
that since January 1, 1987, the last adjustment in rates for residential refuse
collection, there have been substantial increases in general operatln$ expenses
and e~ployee wages by the permit refuse haulers within the City of Rancho
Cucamonga ~ and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga ha~
determined that it is necessary for the efficient operation and management of
the residential refuse collection service within Rancho Cucamonsa that the
maxlmt~ rates he adjusted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Rancho Cucamonga that the rates listed below become effective August 1, 1988:
SECTION 1: Charges for Service - Resldentlal.
A. Basic Individual Residential Unit rate util/zing curb service and
individual payment.
1. Maximum monthly rate $8.85 per service.
2. Maximum monthly rate differential for service north of Banyan
Street $.70 per service.
3. Max/mum monthly rate for senior clt~zen $6.90.
a. Senior citizen shall be anyone sixty-two (62) years old,
head of household, and have a request with permittee.
B. Multiple Residential Unit rate util/zing curb service and group
payment.
1. Maximum monthly rate shall be $8.85 for the first unit and $7.85
for each unit thereafter.

1. Three (3) cubic yard containers.
a. Maximum rate of $42.50 for seven (7) days at location.
b. Maximum rate of $26.00 for each additional service (dump).
Rate in respect to frequency shall not be less than 85~ of the stated
maximum rate.
2. Roll off container up to maximum forty (40) cubic yards.
a. Maximum rate of $184.00 per service (dump), however,
container shall be serviced (dumped) at least once every
seven (7) days.
Rate in respect to frequency shall not be less than 85~ of the stated
maximum rates.
