HomeMy WebLinkAbout88-439 - Resolutions RESOLUTION NO. 88-439 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CIT~ OF ~AN(~{O CUCAM~A, CALIFORNIA, AP~I~ ~D SE~ A ~LIC HEARI~ ~ OF WED~S~Y, AUGUST 3, 1988 ~R ~E ~O~SED 19~ S~T E~IRON~ ~SESS~NT WHEREAS, the City Council has directed the City's Engineering Staff and Associated Engineers to proceed with formal designs for the Improvement of 19th Street from Hermosa Avenue to Cartilla Avenue; and WHEREAS, said proposed improvement requires an Envirormental Assessment; and WHEREAS, an Envirom~ental Assessment has been prepared pursuant to the California Envirormental Quality Act. as amended. NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City o_f Rancho Cucamonga does hereby resolve as follows: SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga hereby approves and sets a public hearing date of Wednesday. August 3. 1988 at 7:30 p.m. to be held at the Lions Park Community Center. 9161 Base Line Road. Rancho Cucamonga. California for the Etiwanda Storm Drain Environmental Assessment Review; and SECTION 2: The City Clerk is directed to sub, it the attached City of Rancho Cucamonga Environmental Assessment Notice for advertisement to The Dail~ ~eport by Thursday. July 21. 1988 for a one-time publication on Sunday. July 24. 1988. ten calendar days prior to said public hearing date pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) requirements. Resolution No. 88-439 Page 3 CITY OF RANCHO OjCAHONGA ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT NOTICE Complete envirormental assessments have been prepared for the following project(s). The City Council will be considering these asseseaents, staff's recommendation, and public input, at their meeting of August 3, 1988 prior to making a final erreirorsaental determination. Following is a brief description and location of the project(s) and staff's recommendation on the project(s) to be considered. ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT AND NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE PROPOSED 19TH STREET IMPROVEMENT - CITY OF RANCHO CUCAH)NGA - The proposed project begins at Hermosa Avenue and continues easterly to Cartilla Avenue. It consists of widening the existing street section to its ultimate right-of-way (4 lanes), installation of curbs and gutters, sidewalks, street lights and minor restoration of landscape affected. STAFF REOO~NIIATION; It is recommended that City Council approve the Enviromaental Assessment and issuance of a Negative Declaration for the proposed 19th Street Improvements from Hermosa Avenue to Carttlla Avenue. A copy of the Envlror~ental Assessment can be reviewed at the City of Rancho Cucamonga Engineering Division Office located at 9320 Base Line Road, Suite "B", Rancho Cucamonga, California. Written comments should be addressed to the Engineering Division, City of Rancho Cucamonga, P.O. Box 807, Rancho Cucamonga, California, 91730, or phoned at (714) 989-1862. In addition, concerns can be addressed to the City Council publicly at the meeting time previously mentioned.
