HomeMy WebLinkAbout85-332 - ResolutionsRESOLUTION NO. 85-332 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, SUPPORTING OF RULE 20A UNDERGROUNDING ALLOCATIONS AGREEMENT WHEREAS, The League of California Cities and the Southern California Edison Company have determined an immediate need for additional funds for the undergrounding utilities throughout the Southern California service territory; and W~EREAS, The League of California Cities and the Southern California Edison Company have proposed a long-term agreement which would amend the Rule 20A, Undergrounding Allocation Formula; and WHEREAS, the proposed Rule 20A A~reement would eliminate the distribution of funds based upon a total overhead meter formula and provide for a more efficient and balanced distribution formula based upon 45% of total meters, 45% overhead meters and 10% for special project funds; and WHEREAS, the proposed agreement represents a major increase in financing Rule 20A program over the next five (5) years, from which cities in the Southern California Edison service territory will benefit; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California supports the Rule 20A Allocation A~reement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Rancho Cucamonga City Council does hereby express its support for the Southern California Edison/League of California Cities proposed Rule 20A, Underground Allocations Agreement, and further urges the Public Utilities Commission to adopt the agreement.
