A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIl, OF THE CITY OF RANCH0
CUCANONGA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE APPLICATION AND THE
PROJECT ~REEN~NT FOR HISTORIC PRESERVATION GRANTS-IN-AID
FUNDS FOR THE HISTORIC RESOURCES SURVEY PROJECT
HHEREAS, the United States Congress under Public Law 89-665 has
authorized the establishment of a National Historic Preservation Grants-in-Aid
Program, providing matching funds to the State of California and its political
subdivisions for historic preservation, survey, planning, development and
acquisition projects; and
HHEREAS, the California State Department of Parks and Recreation
responsible for the adainistracion of the program witbin the
establishing necessary rules and procedures governing application by local
ngencies under the program; and
HHERZAS, said adopted procedures established by the State Department
of Parks and Recreation require tbe applicant co certify by resolution the
approval of application and the availabili~7 of local matching funds prior
submission of said applications to the State.
Nal, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED thac the City Council of the City of
Rancho Cucamonga bereby:
Approves the filing of an application for tbe National
Historic Preservation Grants-in-Aid assistance for the
Historic Resources Survey project; snd
Appoints the Director of Co---,nit7 Services or his
authorized designer as agent of the Cit7 of Rancho
Cucamonga to coordinste, process and execute all
contrscts, ngreements, amendments and ancillary
documents within the scope of the attached application;
and
A~rees that all required local matching funds will be
provided for the project.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 20th day of November, 1985.
