A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OP RANCHO
C~CA~DI~A, CALIFORNIA, TO APPOINT A DELEGATE TO THE
SPECIAL MEETING OF MEMBER ENTITIES OF THE CALIFORNIA
~NICIPAL INSURANCE AUTHORITY
~rAEREAS. the City of Rancho Cucamonga ("the City") is a party to the
Joint Powers Agreement Creating the California Municipal Insurance Authority,
dated Hay 21, 1986, (the "Joint Powers Agreement") and as such is a Member
Entity of the California Municipal Insurance Authority ("CMIA"), as that term
is defined in the Joint Powers Agreement~ and
I~IEREAS, pursuant to the Joint Powers Aireement, the City has
appointed J/m Hart to serve aa its representative on the Board of Directors of
CMIA, but the City has not appointed a person to serve as its delegate to
meetings of the Member Entities of CMIA~ and
~AERFAS, the Executive C~amtttee of the Board of Directors of CHIAhas
determined that it is in the best interests of CHIA to convene a special
meeting of the Member Entities, as provided by the Joint Powers Agreement and
the Bylaws of CHYA, and has requested that the City appoint a person to serve
as its delegate to such meeting;
NO~, ~I~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this City Council hereby appoints
Jim Hart to serve as its delegate at a special meeting of the Member Entities
of CHIA to he held on June 30, 1988, and to act on behalf of the City, as
Member Entity of CHYA, on all matters to come before such meeting as if the
City itself were present and acting at such meeting~
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Hanager, or designee, be
instructed to inform the Secretary of CKIA of the above appointment by sending
a copy of this Resolution to CMIA's business office.
