APPROVING THE SEDGE BOG ECOLOGICAL PRESERVE AS A POINT OF HISTORIC INTEREST LOCATED AT DAY CANYON- APN: 225-150-15 AND 225-150-16 ~EREAS, the Historic Preservation Commzssion has held a hearxng to consioer ali comments on the proposed Point of Historic Interest and issued Resolution No. 88-08 recommending to this City Council that said designation be approved. ~HEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed all input from the Historic Preservation Commxssion regarding said designation. SECTION 1: The Rancho Cucamonsa City Council hereby makes the following findings: 1. The Sedge Bog is rare, 2. The ~edge Bog is of great age. 3. The Sedge Bog is an established feature of the community. 4.The Sedge Bog is of educational and cultural as well as ecological value to the community. 5. Designation of tbs Sedge Bog is in the spirit of the mission of the Historic Preservation Commxssion and of the intent of the Historic Preservation Commxssion Ordxnance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Rancho Cucamonga City Council does hereby approve the designation of the Sedge Bog Preserve at Day Canyon as a Point of Historic Interest. PASSED.
